Keen to help our native birds thrive? Join us this Sunday, 6 July, at 1 pm on the Waterworks Track for a free native bird monitoring training session.

We’re excited to welcome Chris Hannent from the Tiritiri Matangi kōkako monitoring team, who is making the trip from Auckland to share his skills. Chris has over 10 years of experience working with kōkako and other bird count projects and will teach us how to correctly monitor native birds right here on Haakarimata.

Monitoring our birds is vital — it helps show whether our pest control efforts are working and guides us in restoring a healthy, thriving ngahere.

Please RSVP so we can plan numbers:šŸ‘‰ via the Facebook eventšŸ‘‰ or email us at info@haakarimata.com

Bring sturdy shoes, weather gear, and your passion for the forest. All ages and skill levels welcome. See you there!
