Where: 577 Waingaro Road (through the gate and follow signs to the planting site)

When: Starting at 10:30am, Saturday 15 August

We’re nearing the end of another planting season, and what a season it has been. Volunteers have turned up weekend after weekend, helping establish thousands of native plants across the Haakarimata landscape. We’re enormously grateful.

Join us for another planting morning at 577 Waingaro Road as we continue developing the Karakariki Connection: strengthening native habitat and, over time, creating a living ecological connection between Haakarimata and Karakariki Forest.

Please bring sturdy footwear, water, gloves and a spade if you have one. Every plant and every pair of hands helps.

A big thanks to Forest Flora our local Nursery for supplying the plants and Trees that Count for funding them! We have 1350 to get in the ground on Saturday.

RSVP not required, but you can let us know if you can make it on facebook

Help us plant the permanent forests that will help make a corridor for native species to move between Haakarimata and the huge Karakariki forest to the Southwest.
